ZDHC Verified InCheck – Level 1 Verification
Introduction
ASSESS-International offers ZDHC Verified InCheck Level 1 Verification to support suppliers in demonstrating transparent and responsible input chemical management in line with the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme.
ZDHC InCheck focuses on input management by assessing the chemical products a facility purchases, uses, and stores on-site, helping reduce risks to workers, consumers, and the environment before production begins.
What is ZDHC InCheck Level 1?
ZDHC InCheck Level 1 is a foundational verification level that evaluates a supplier’s chemical inventory against the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) using data uploaded through a ZDHC-approved third-party solution provider platform.
At this level, individual chemical products listed in the supplier’s inventory are reviewed and validated against the chemical products published in the ZDHC Gateway – Chemical Module to determine their ZDHC MRSL Consistency Level.
The validated inventory data is then used to generate a Performance InCheck Report, which reflects the overall MRSL conformance status of the supplier’s chemical inventory.
Why ZDHC InCheck Level 1 is Important
-> Establishes transparency in a supplier’s chemical inventory
-> Demonstrates MRSL awareness and basic chemical governance
-> Supports alignment with ZDHC-affiliated brand requirements
-> Helps identify restricted or non-conforming chemical products
-> Serves as the entry point for progressing to higher ZDHC InCheck levels
-> Builds credibility through verified chemical inventory data
ZDHC InCheck Level 1 – Verification Process
- Chemical Inventory Preparation
Supplier compiles a complete list of chemical products used and stored on-site, in line with ZDHC Chemical Inventory requirements. - Inventory Upload via Approved Platform
Chemical inventory is uploaded through a ZDHC-approved InCheck solution provider platform. - Chemical Product Validation
Individual chemical products are reviewed and evaluated against the ZDHC Gateway – Chemical Module. - MRSL Consistency Level Determination
Each validated chemical is assigned a ZDHC MRSL Consistency Level based on available conformance data. - Performance InCheck Report Generation
A Performance InCheck Report is generated, summarizing the MRSL conformance status of the chemical inventory. - Publication on ZDHC Gateway
The Performance InCheck Report is published on the ZDHC Gateway – Chemical Module, providing visibility to connected stakeholders.
